Nai Harn Beach

The Promthep Cape is located at the extreme south of Phuket island and 3 kms away from Nai Harn Beach. Every year, this popular site attracts hundreds of people who come to enjoy the stunning sea and sunset views from the cape and wander through the beautifully laid out palm trees. Besides soaking in the enchanting sunset views, visitors may also savour exquisite Thai cuisine at the numerous eateries and cafes scattered over the coast.

Ao Sane Beach is a largely unexplored territory only 2 kms away from Nai Harn Beach Phuket. This small and peaceful beach is made up of three bays and is known for its peaceful surroundings and delicious seafood. The weather and waters of this beach are also ideal for going snorkelling and beach diving. Additionally, if you wish to get a taste of the tropical life in Phuket, you may even rent one of the beach bamboo huts located along the beachfront.

The Windmill Viewpoint is one of Phuket's most photographed locations. This mountain, often known as a wind turbine, is located in the extreme south of the island, 1.7 kms from Nai Harn Beach. From the hill, you can see a massive white windmill in the distance, as well as spectacular views of the Ya Nui Beach below and the little 'Koh Man' island. Nestled high up on a peak above Chalong Bay, the 45-metre-high white marble statue of Big Buddha is one of the newest and the most popular tourist attractions in Phuket. Despite being Phuket's second most visited beach, Kata Beach is not as crowded as other beaches. This is because the entire beach is divided into two sections, Kata and Kata Noi. Karon Beach is another renowned Phuket beach, located in a more rugged area towards the island's south at a distance of 11.4 km from Nai Harn Beach. Though the sand on this beach is not as smooth as that on other beaches, it provides great conditions for snorkelling, jet skiing, and other fun water sports. Apart from being a popular location for adventure seekers, Karon beach is also great for resting and sunbathing by the sea. You can also relish and taste exotic cuisines at a number of restaurants and pubs where you may unwind in the evenings.

Wat Chalong, also known as Wat Chaitararam, is a Buddhist temple and historical site in the Chalong Bay neighbourhood of Phuket. This temple, 9.9 km away from Nai Harn, has long been revered by locals and acted as a centre for Buddhist learning for foreigners. The most remarkable feature of the temple is perhaps Poh Than Jao Wat, a prominent Buddhist sculpture. The statues of Nonsi, Luang Poh Cham, Luang Poh Gleum, and Luang Poh Chuang are also remarkable.

Ya Nui Beach is a famous swimming cove in Phuket located between the Windmill Viewpoint and Promthep Cape. Despite its modest size, Ya Nui beach is well-known for its clean waters, which are excellent for swimming, snorkelling, fishing, and kayaking. This family-friendly beach has various restaurants serving Thai and Continental cuisine as well as stores selling textiles, souvenirs, and toys. Due to its idyllic location, Ya Nui Beach attracts a large number of tourists every year and is definitely a must-see destination near Nai Harn Beach.

Rawai Beach, located at the southern end of Phuket island, is another beautiful spot to explore near Nai Harn Beach. Though Rawai is not a swimming beach, there are many things to do in this gorgeous location. For instance, from Rawai beach, you may catch spectacular views of the adjacent islands, soak up the tranquil local culture, get beach massages, relax at local pubs, and shop for a variety of items. This beach is also known for its superb seafood and is home to various historical traditions, including a Gypsy village.
