The common species of marine life that can be spotted here are lionfish, clownfish, moray eels, reef sharks, and many other macro animals.
Homerun Reef is located in the north eastern corner of Racha Island and this is one of the best locations to dive for all levels of divers. It is mostly made up of hard corals that include staghorn and pore coral. The reef starts at a depth of 5 m and goes down to 20 m where it meets with the sand bottom. The King cruiser was a passenger ship that traveled from Phi Phi islands to Phuket. In 1997 the ship sank after hitting Shark Point or Anemone point. The wreck sits at the bottom of 32 m, as opposed to the usual diving depth of 25 m. A buoy marks the wreck, and divers should descend and ascend using the rope attached near the front of the boat, where the twin hulls of this catamaran can be seen. The marine life is abundant and there are schools of snappers in the wreck's shelter, as well as lionfish and highly-camouflaged scorpionfish. Bamboo sharks and leopard sharks have been spotted near the wreck's bottom, and turtles are also one of the notable attractions here.
Kata beach is located to the south of Karon beach and it is divided into two parts. Kata Noi is the smaller part of the beach where people just lay down all day.
